It All Flows Downhill

There are some things that just are. How and when we learn these truths is what makes us happy or sad in life. As a redneck, I have to admit that some things do not come natural for me. I have a good mind, but at times I don't have good sense. Here is a partial lists of things that all men should know.

It all flows downhill. Plumbers know it and make a good living from people that forget this fact.

When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is throw away the shovel.

Good friends may come and go, but they can't always take you with them.

A diamond is forever, but try to drive it in the mud and you will be very disappointed.

Horse sense is over-rated, unless you like having a person put a saddle on your back and ride you till you drop.

You can have a dog as your friend, you can have whiskey as your friend. If you have a woman as your friend, you wind up drunk and kissing your dog.

If you can't repeat things in public, work on your public speaking.

Stay tuned for more wisdom.
Steve
